Wood Release techniques can be produced from anywhere, including the user's body, as the user's chakra is literally converted into a source of life. Family/Relationships:Kōkashita Senju - Kōkashita Senju is the father of Ōkinanami Senju. Ōkinanami was taught the fundamentals of running a clan by his father and often comes to his father for advice. Kōkashita Senju has run the Senju Clan for over fifty years and thanks to this he has much wisdom to pass down and experience in the decades old struggles of the shinobi world. Hotaru Senju - Hotaru Senju was the wife of Kōkashita Senju and mother to Ōkinanami Senju. Hotaru was a very lively woman that made up for Kōkashita Senju's hardened personality. Hotaru was highly charismatic and could easily sway people to her side due to her compassionate nature. Sadly Hotaru Senju was killed during a high level mission six years ago, her death marked a dark day for the Senju Clan. Description: A clone that is created by using chakra to alter the user's own cells into vegetation. The clones can be as simple in function as a wooden dummy for use in the Body Replacement Technique or completely mobile and able to perform techniques. They have the ability to travel far from the user and are able to communicate with the original. Moreover, since the wood clone has the ability to merge with plants and trees, it is also great for reconnaissance missions. By directly touching the wood clone with his hand, the user can absorb the information it gathered and change the shape of the clone. Unlike the Shadow Clone Technique, the wood clone doesn't disappear when hit and even appears to take the damage. If a wood clone is changed into a seed and ingested into the body or left on a target, it can be used as a transmission device of sorts. The user can use these to track their target as the seeds respond to their chakra only.

Description: The user forces trees to grow on any surface, easily creating a dense forest anywhere they choose. A small plant can grow into a forest in an instant. By generating chakra, the user maneuvers it as they see fit for attack and defense; and furthermore, this powerful technique even allows them to capture the enemy at the same time. With their tremendous life force, the trees can pierce through earthen walls, and extend their branches at their prey in an instant.
Drawback/Duration/Cooldown: Cooldown of twelve posts. If trapped by this technique, it lasts for a maximum of four posts or until the branch is destroyed.

Description: A technique used to absorb a tailed beast's chakra. The user produces the "sit" (座, suwaru) kanji on their palm and creates a series of wooden pillars, which are engraved with what resemble foo dog faces and have lit wicks on top of them. When the user slams their palm on the ground, the wooden statues rush towards the target and absorb its chakra.
Drawback/Duration/Cooldown: The chakra absorption persists for five posts or until the Foo Dog Heads are destroyed. Cooldown of eight posts.

Description: Taking advantage of the innate properties of Wood Release which allows the user to force trees to grow on any surface in an instant, the user creates a dense forest of flowering trees. The pollen produced by these flowers is then released into the atmosphere and when inhaled, renders any afflicted target unconscious.
Drawback/Duration/Cooldown: Lasts ten posts, or until the trees used with this technique are destroyed. It's more possible for someone that's the same rank of this technique or a rank lower than it to have the will to overcome the effects of the pollen after four posts. There's a much smaller chance of doing so for characters B rank or lower until after six posts in a thread, which increases the chance of overcoming it by a third.

Description: Using the Wood Release, a user can manipulate the terrain, bringing out underground roots of varying sizes to fit various offensive situations, such as using the roots for trickery, misdirection and restriction. One can also use a large scale version, bringing out massive roots over a larger area that tangle around each other with such force that any one caught in-between is violently crushed to death.

Description: The user first disappears from plain sight in a mist-like fashion in order to approach the target without being detected. Once close enough, the target will then be completely robbed of their mobility as they see the mirage of a fast-growing tree coiling itself around them. Given that the subject remains conscious, this technique proves extremely efficient for information-gathering. Once the target is immobile, the user can then attack the enemy, usually after emerging from the trunk of the tree.

Description: The principle of this taijutsu is to rapidly increase the body's abilities by opening up to and including the sixth of the Eight Gates, and then to strike the enemy down with countless punches. The technique is started by kicking the enemy into the air, which for most would be an instant kill. The user then jumps into the air in a distinctive stance and begins punching the enemy repeatedly. The speed of the punches is so fast that they are set ablaze by sheer speed and friction. This creates a peacock-like fan of flaming chakra around the opponent. Once the attack is finished, the enemy will be sent crashing back to the ground, covered with the attack's aura.

Description: This medical ninjutsu allows the user to speed up the body's natural healing process by sending chakra from their hands into a wound or afflicted body part. This allows the user to heal a patient without the need for medical equipment or surgery, making it very useful on the battlefield. It can be used to treat both external and internal injuries. It is vital to match the amount of chakra used to the severity of the affliction or injury. This requires a great amount of chakra control. Some users have the ability to use it a short distance away from the target instead of through direct contact.

Description: With this technique, users replace their own body with some other object, generally with a block of wood, the moment an attack lands. This creates an optical illusion, making the enemy think the attack was successful. From this, the user can use the lapse in the enemy's attention to attack or flee from the battlefield. Explosive tags can be attached to the replacement for an added surprise. It's a basic ninjutsu even taught at the Academy, but it's a useful art that can be applied in variety of situations.

Weapon(s)Ōkinanami Senju does not currently use any unique weapon of particular importance though he does utilize the basic ninja tools that are common among fellow Shinobi when the situation makes it necessary to do so. Personality:Ōkinanami Senju is quite an ambitious individual and will go towards great lengths to accomplish his goals. Ōkinanami enjoys helping others but knows the time and place to do so and whether or not the consequences are worth the benefit. Ōkinanami Senju can sometimes seem reckless in his actions but if one is willing to pay close attention to him then that individual could come to the realization of how well planned his actions were, this has earned him much respect among his clan. Ōkinanami Senju is a very calculative individual consistently pondering the various outcomes of his actions, he is a very conservative individual and will try to reserve as much energy as possible during activities only willing to sacrifice a suitable amount perceived by his own judgement. Ōkinanami Senju often see's hardships as a path to fulfillment but often times does not look at the small things that may surround him in that instance that may also bear some significant fulfillment to himself. Appearance: Unique Characteristics:Apart from his strongly driven personality to achieve his ambitions Ōkinanami Senju does not have any truly distinct characteristics. However it is noted that Ōkinanami Senju is not the best when it comes to a sense of humor as he takes matters seriously during the majority of the time and tends to solely focus on important matters even though deep down there is a sense of humor within him that he rarely taps into but this can be seen more frequently when he is in the prescience of individuals with whom he trusts. Biography:Ōkinanami Senju was born on a mid winter evening underneath a great tree that had overlooked him. It was said that before he saw his mother and father for the first time he had seen the great tree. Ōkinanami's mother and father had named him after a great wave as he was born into a world surrounded by both beauty and death. Growing up as a child raised in a environment engulfed with constant warfare he did not have time to play around with the other kids as he was sole heir to the Senju Clan. Ōkinanami's parents Kōkashita Senju and Hotaru Senju wanted to immediately enroll their child into the Senju Ninja Academy to begin training as a shinobi and though his mother wanted him to spend a few years simply enjoying himself his father had denied the request. This had pushed Ōkinanami into becoming a very driven individual often times rushing ahead of his other classmates in various fields and intentionally placing himself ahead of those around him. Through his hard work and dedicated spirit Ōkinanami entered the Senju Clan Tournament at only age twelve and had passed undefeated and received his title of Chunin. During his time as a Chunin he would often train with his father and mother or be requested to take part in some rather difficult missions. Upon reaching the age of fifteen Ōkinanami had earned his place as a Jonin. After a few years of being a Jonin Ōkinanami had become an Anbu and worked directly under his father, this had made his experience as Anbu rather difficult as he felt obligated to go the extra mile and uphold his fathers rather strict expectations fortunately he had his mother that would often give him insight and help make him feel less pressured before missions. When Ōkinanami reached the age of seventeen things had taken a toll for the worse as his father and him received word that his mother had been killed during a high level mission, this had placed both him and his father in a state of depression for a many months. However overtime Ōkinanami was able to overcome his depression and move on with his life. However, as for his father he was not so fortunate and it was due to his father's instability that Ōkinanami had to take on the roll as Head of the Senju Clan in his father's stead. During the first year as the Head of House many people were unsure if he was capable of leading due to his age as he was only eighteen at the time. It was not until after that year that the Senju Clan had began to place more faith into him as he had proven to everyone that he was not only a capable leader but had put his clan before that of himself several times. Today, Ōkinanami Senju is attempting to unlock more secrets with his Kekkei Genkai that could possibly reshape the world itself. While also preparing for what lies ahead in the near future, as the Senju Clan may be quiet for now but like a storm warfare is bound to happen again soon... | |
